Parking brake light
Sometimes when I set my parking brake on my 97 towncar the light does not come on even tho the parking brake does engage. The bulb is working because I noticed it come on when I start the car. This seems to happen when it is raining or very damp out. Any ideas?

Re: Parking brake light
I don't see the switch in my manual, but I'm pretty sure I saw one on the Pedal Assembly last time I was down there. My guess would be 'a problem with the switch itself'.
As for the dampness relating to the problem, I can only say 'dampness and electrical connections don't mix well'. Have a look down there (Pedal Assy) and see if there's something obvious.

Thanks for the advice guys........I will check that plug behind the parking brake as soon as the rain lets up (we are at almost a foot of rain in the past 3 days
