Re: turbo feul injection

IMHO safc and vafc's are trash on hondas. Since we dont have maf sensors like most cars, we only have map sensors, yes its wired in differently but I still don't believe they work at all. Why? Because just think, the ecu is looking to give the correct amount of fuel to the motor that it thinks it needs. When you up the fuel setting with the safc the ecu is going to see all this extra fuel coming in and be like WTF? So its going to drop the pulse rate to stop giving so much fuel. I could go way deeper into this but its not worth it since most of everyone on here has no idea what im talking about.

Re: turbo feul injection

I think I know what you're talking about. And yes, most likely a CEL would be thrown and something would go terribly wrong.

Re: turbo feul injection

i dont want to do the whole chip the ecu thing. because every place that does it says it must be obd-1. i just want to run the 440cc injectors for my turbo and be able to not wory about a bad air/feul mixture and cuase my motor to blow. like everyone has said on here tuning is the key but how or what should i use for this. and i dont have money for a Zdyne ecu either tho i would love that setup in my car.

Re: turbo feul injection

wow. i dont even have a clue what those are. please help a noob out on this. is there somewhere that does it for you. there was a guy on ebay that said he would make a chip for people and edit to whatever they need. and there was another guy on the HMT forum that said he could do it but they both want obd-1 conversions done before the chipping process. i dont know what to do anymore

Re: turbo feul injection

Those are the ecu editing software programs available (I believe for free) on the internet. I haven't really considered turboing my engine to that extent so I never really checked it out. But those programs allow you to optimize tunablity in OBD0 cars.

If you disable your ECU your car will not operate... unless you install a carburetor or something...
