what is the widest and lowest profile tire that can be fit on a 16 inch rim? thanks

try searching.......the lowest i have seen are 40 sidewalls, as for width i dunno, just about anything im guessing. i know of drag 16's that go as wide as 20 inches......depends on what ur looking for

Depends upon the rim and whether or not you're willing to make some modifications to the car to accomodate wider tires.

Check the specs on your rims as well, they usually have a max with number

should i go for 225/40 or 245/45 i really want the lower profile but i also want the wider tires. the tires on the rims now are 205/55. anyways i just want opinion. thanks
