Transmisson Shifting Problem
1993 Buick Park Avenue with 130,000 miles. Problem will not shift from 3rd gear to overdrive. If you run the car to 50 mph and 3000 rpm's and let off the gas pedal it will shift! Sometime it will not shift by doing this and you can not get it to shift until you let the car set for a while.
I have changed the fluid, filter and the modulator was bad and has been replaced. The car will change from first to second but sometimes I think it does not change form second to third. Does anyone know how much vacuum the car must have or have any ideas? Thanks may God bless -- jjccm7 |

Re: Transmisson Shifting Problem
It sounds like you have a bad shift solenoid or a valve sticking in the valve body. Find a transmission shop that advertises "free diagnoses" and take it to them for a scan and pressure test.
