AC vacuum problem on a

1998 Astro VAn AWD Airconditioning works fine The AC only goes to the defroster, I would like a map of the vacuum hoses where they come from and where they go.
Does anyone have a simple diagram that describes. The vacuum of the AC system
Thanks

Re: AC vacuum problem on a

The source is at the left side of the intake manifold. There is also a vacuum reservoir mounted to the right subframe just below the A/C evaporator core case. The reservoir is plastic, and doesn't last forever.

Re: AC vacuum problem on a

Look in front center of intake manifold- for black plastic vacuum hose- most likely it is brittle and broke in two- have seen several do this- probably have to remove air filter box to see it though- to repair- cut out all the brittle section and use a soft rubber hose to slip over both ends- works every time......

Re: AC vacuum problem on a

The one that is probably broken is the same one I had to fix. You need to take off the engine cover and the vaccum hose is right next to the PCV value. It goes across the engine and it is black. The line is totaly not shielded from the engine and mine turned to dust when I moved it.

Hope that helps
