New Hood Design, Opinions needed

Heres my post on 3SI. It's not finished yet, still needs quite a bit of work. Opinions appreciated.

I'll speak for those of us who aren't members on 3si and ask you to kindly upload or give us links to the pictures here. From the only picture I saw, it looks like it might be kinda nice....

Re: New Hood Design, Opinions needed

As long as its functional its cool.
So far looks like one vent aimmed straight at the intake plenum. good for cooling and all but make sure its positioned so that water drips out away from dangerous areas like the alternator, air intake, starter ect.

Itd suck to get a hood like that only to find it kills your car when it rains.

Re: New Hood Design, Opinions needed

Those links above don't work.
Ehh sorry about that, I forgot you have to be members to view attachments. Yes the hood is functional. I am adding, air ducts(i guess that what you would refer to them as)on the underside of the hood to route the air at the right spots. Here are th pics uploaded on my site.

Obviously its not finished yet.

What a great way to make the best out of something bad. The hood looks great! Now just patent it and start up your own company :-p

Re: New Hood Design, Opinions needed

Updates!!!

I'm starting to like the hood a lot more now, I placed it on the car once I finished tonight to make sure it all lined up and in my opinion; on the car, the hood looks awesome.

Morphius289, yea I was thinking that also lol. I kind of want to go to my insurance company and say "hey remember that hood on my old car you said wasn't repairable and you gave me $800 for...yea well its on my new car."
