changing gears ,,, at what RPM?
when do u guys change gear at what rpm? i change gears around 3000rpm

Well, that depends.
If you're just taking it easy, driving around town and want to conserve gas, between 3000-4000 rpm is fine. If you want to have fun and turn the car loose, crank it up to at least 6000 rpm. Don't worry, redline isn't until 7900. Also, that's what this engine is designed to do. That's when the iVVTEC kicks in! I wouldn't suggest this until after the engine has been broken in (after the first 600-1000 miles). Have fun!!! |

is that for base or type s? if its for base then what about type s? thanks

Sorry, that's for the type-s. Not sure about the specs for the base.
If you have a type-s and have been shifting at 3000 rpm, revit up to about 6000 rpm. You'll feel the difference. Pretty cool!!! |

I shift my Type-S at about 8250, it's kinda hard to get exact when you're going that fast, but I also have a short shifter on my car, so I can hit the gears pretty quick. I wouldn't reccomend it until you get used to shifting and can get fast on the clutch too...cuz that'll get ya |
