Re: service light on?

then the pcm might be detecting a fault in the cruise control, since that light doesn pertain to emissions. cant say what is the issue, but did the car shut down when it went it hit reverse before going into park?

Re: service light on?

no it didn't engage reverse but i got to thinking about it and he also shut the car off while i was driving i grabbed the key and turned it back on and the car lurched just a little and continued like nothing had happened could this have caused the problem?

Re: service light on?

what i meant was, did the car die before it hit park since it goes through reverse before park and normally automatics will kill the engine when it hits reverse while moving forward to prevent damage.

now what gear did you restart in and where you moving?

Re: service light on?

no it didn't die i might have stopped but things kinda happened fast. i restarted the car in park but just in case what were your ideas if it had killed the engine going through reverse and could shutting the car off while driving and then turning it back have anything to do with

trust me he got his ass beat
