97' wiper problem.......?????

i have had this problem on my 97' ever since i bought it, when i turn the wipers on the drivers side wiper will go past the edge of the windshield, it's like the windshield should be wider..... hope i explained it good enough, just the top 4 or 5 inches of the wiper, it's like the wiper is too long or is traveling too far, i have replaced the blades with correct size with no luck, it's starting to bug me...............thnx

Re: 97' wiper problem.......?????

Sounds like the wiper arm is either bent or the wrong one for the vehicle. But you say you bought new in '97. Is there an adjustment in between the wiper arm pivot and the motor. Some car like the Vettes had complete adjustments with the linkages.

Re: 97' wiper problem.......?????

Search thru the Montana/Venture/Trans Sport forums.

I remember reading a post where they (?,LMP,greg,?) explained the fix for this.

If I remember correctly it had to do with loosing one bolt to re-adjust the wiper travel.

If I find it I'll post the link.

Good Luck.
