16 valve engine on99 and up

The tried and true two valve per cylinder was a workhorse of an engine.

Is there any input on the durability of the 16 valve engine?

Thanks, martin

They also use a more efficient intake manifold design similar to the Cultus GTi, and multi point fuel injection. It's an excellent motor.

They pretty much removed nearly all the good parts, like condenser, points, distributor, lol.. All thats left under the hood are two really short spark plug wires, plus a air/fuel mixer thing that looks like a 40oz beer can
