How do I retrieve the code or do I have to take the truck somewhere to do it? Thanks.

Places like Autozone will read the codes for free. Call ahead and go in when they are not too busy.

Thanks. The only (and I mean ONLY) thing I miss about my Grand Cherokee was retrieving codes. I could turn the key on and off three times and count the check engine light flashes to give me the code. Problem was, it gave too many damn codes. This is the first time my 4runner has given a code.
