96 and newer: a PL1870 fix that does less damage to your wallet.

Found this out not too long ago, but please keep in mind there are other reasons you might get the PL1870, so don't rely soley on this.

Appearantly there's a boot in the tranny that, over time wears a bit (usually under 85k mi) and allows the center rod to swivel. As it does this, it begins wearing more and pushing forward, setting off a slip alarm in the OBD and a pressure alarm.

The good news? It's a $20 sonex seal kit that cures the PL1870 woes.

The bad news? Unless you're a gifted individual who knows how to drop and disassemble a tranny, it's still a good $300 to install. Saves you a fortune on labor and troubleshooting hours tho.
