Re: 88 stalls at stops, computer? valve? help!!.
I could be wrong, but wouldn't an 88 be a carbed engine, and therefore, not have a computer?

I don't know if is the same in a 88, but a friend's 87 has a computer (that most regular mechanics didn't know about) under ther windshield washer resevoir. It was a source of similar problems.

thanks for the info i talked to autozone and said if i bring it to them they can test the resistance on it and tell me if it is bad , but i am going to start with that little black box called electronic ignition control module located under the windshield washer reservior, thanks for the input

Well $14 later and about 2 hours , i rebuilt my carb and it idles fine the venturi tubes were clogged , the ones you see when look down the carb that have brass looking ends , they looked clear but actualy were just built up in that same shape just smaller hole
, also it passed smog! ,i did have that elect. ignition control module tested at auto zone for free it only takes a minute to remove the 3 screws from under nieth the driverside wheel well below the washer fluid tank , thanks guys!!
