ecu wire harness question

I have an 87 supra turbo, but I had to get a different engine, the one i was sent had round engine mounts on it so its an 89+ and I was wondering if the 87 ecu will match an 89 wireharness. If that won't work would an 87 wire harness be compatible with an 89 engine. Thanks, Justin.

Re: ecu wire harness question

You can not mix and match yellow plug and grey plug harnesses, the new harness will not work with the old ECU. Just use your old engine harness and some sensors on the new engine, everything will work fine.
