Short shifter/bushings review

Yo guys, now that I'm done with classes for the summer, I finally have time to write this review lol.

About a week ago, a friend and I installed an ebay short shifter with some Energy polyurethane shifter base bushings..... DAMN I LOVE THIS MOD lol.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...Pr4_PcY_BIN_IT is the link for the shifter.

And http://www.extremepsi.com/store/cust...cat=571&page=1 for the bushings.

For a total price of about $58, my driving experience has been enhanced greatly.

The install was pretty straight forward, except that the pivot thing that allows the short throw wasn't ground down enough, so we had to dremmel it a little to have it sit flush with the shifter. That went in fine, so we went ahead to the bushings part. The instructions that came with the bushings weren't that clear, so we ended up putting them in upside down the first time, and I took it for a little test drive around the neighborhood and the whole shifter base popped off hah. Be SURE to have the RING on the BOTTOM and the one with the STEP on TOP

Other than that, the shifts feel great. The 1-2 is sooooo nice now, it's like butter. 2-3 is gonna take some time to get used to, 3-4 is short as hell, and 4-5 is pretty good. This gets rid of the "crunchyness" when shifting sometimes, and you actually know if the gear is in or not. Everything feels rock solid now. I recommend these cheap mods to everyone.

How the shifter came packaged (it was in another brown box)

The bushings.

Total install time if I had to do it again, probably 30 minutes.
