Re: SRT-4, 2 much powa!! flys off dyno.

looks like a strap gave away... might of been too close to a hot exhaust pipe and burnt through.

When I took my Z28 to get a baseline dyno, the guy said he couldn't dyno me after he put me on, cause the way his straps were situated they'd hit my exhaust and he was affraid that they'd melt through.

He said it's a bad thing when a car comes off the dyno at 120mph.

I laughed.

He didn't.

It's always a good idea to put some blocks in place, unless you have an AWD car of course.

Re: SRT-4, 2 much powa!! flys off dyno.

my friends brother has his dyno built in so they run the cars pointing out of the shop. strapped (chained in some cases) on 4-6 points and with a lot of space either side of the car and the empty parking lot out ahead. if it comes off the dyno it runs out into a big industrial estate.

the guy was all "stage two...yea!" ok, whatever. it came of because the guy driving didn't keep the wheels straight. what an idoit (the onwer)

Re: SRT-4, 2 much powa!! flys off dyno.

Did I hear someone say that it's just too powerful?

Maybe if they hadn't been using seatbelts from an 88 Ford Tempo to strap that car to the dyno it would have stayed on.

I would love to see how much powaaaaa it was putting down before the strap gave. What a bunch of tools. They give the rest of us Turbo Mopar owners a bad name.

Re: SRT-4, 2 much powa!! flys off dyno.

If that had been a black srt4, i would have sworn that guy used to work at my old job. Always talking about how freaking awesome his car was. (yeah, when you're making $22 an hour at your other job, playing playstation, I would hope so)

Guy never did a thing to his car, couldn't tell you how to turn on his E-manage, but his car was "the shit". Until it got lit up by a ws6 w/ exhaust+cams

Best of all, he swore to the fact taht it wasn't a Dodge, it was a Mopar, and that they actually had 'Mopar' dealerships.
