front seats
I want to replace front seats in my 70 beetle,and put in some type of nice comfrontable bucket seats in, what kind of car and year should they come out of to fit the best and easiest to install,thanks harvey

Any decent buckets will work. I've seen Jetta, Acura, Corolla, etc seats installed in bugs.
What you'll have to do to get other than stock seats to work, it cut or grind off the stock seat tracks and weld or bolt the seat assembly to the pan. You should be able to find complete seat assemblies at a junk yard. Measure the area the new seats will go into and take a taape measure when you look for new seats. Look for late model compact sedans that have the cabin fairly intact. Inspect the seat bases for cracks or other damage before you buy. |
