2001 Jetta Battery Drain

I have been fighting a very random battery drain problem for months. I think I have finally driven it down to the CD changer. If we turn the car off but leave the key in the ignition "off" the CD changer never turns off and I get a steady 2+ amp draw. Is there a timer module that should power the car down after so many minutes? If so where is it located? Also I have about a .36 steady amp draw all the time I assume this is normal to keep the electronic live.
