PS windows goes down, not up

Weird problem

The passenger side window can go up and down if we use the DS controls for the PS window. The wife, using the PS controls, can lower the PS windows, but cannot raise it. The switch to raise it on her side does not work at all. The only way to raise it is by using the DS controls.

Where could the fault be? DS window switch or PS side switch? I heard that it *could* perhaps be in fact DS...

TIA for any help.

Re: PS windows goes down, not up

Wecome to the forum!

It could be the driver side switch, or the wiring between the sides.

I have some details and a wiring diagram on the following page:

Window Switches

Hope this helps some.

Take Care,

Re: PS windows goes down, not up

Thanks. I will look at the wires in-between first. I just noticed that the wire "rubber" protector for the window and mirror operation (some kind of black rubbery plastic that goes over the wires, is in poor shape. Perhaps one of the wires has been damaged. I will check it out.
