Warning Electric Problem
please check power driver seat wiring. the cable to the lumbar bladder switch runs between the seat frame and the seat. i found the orange power wire totally bare and all of the other wires melted. must remove seat and seperate the seat from the motor frame to check the wiring. the cable runs between the seat frame and the seat foam at the front left corner of the seat bottom. reroute the cable to run under the steel seat frame. see my previous post on seat and blinking lights and door locks.

My 99 did this and lucky me it has the 2 button memory (8 way power) and it took the remote box out and the switch so expensive parts and the seat was back and down so a pain to remove! If you have an LT and leather this is a problem area and easy to look at before it happens and the wires wear and short! Good post.

mine is a 97 LT 4 door with leather seats!!! not sure what models have the problem. my symptoms were the volt meter on the dash unexpectedly jumping toward lower voltage for no appearent reason. then the electric seat and door locks stopped working. At that point I checked the circuit breaker and it was so hot it burned my finger!!! then the hunt began. it was very intermittant. putin a fuse and itlasted over a month and then i blew this weeek that is when i found the problem after tearingthe pass door apart. i had priviously removed the seat, and found nothing. didnt peel back leather seat to see wires, all i looked at were the wires to motors which also run inbetweenthe metal frame and the seat. they were fine. i will try to post a pic of the removed wires.

i will have to look under mine. My volt meter is screwed anyway cause i have a 4000 watt sound system running.
