Did you do something to someone in the mafia? Sorry...I think I watch too much TV.
My truck does the same thing. I know that in my case its just two peices of plastic in or on the dash that are just pushing...rubbing together. Could this be whats going on with you? Do you notice it coming or going when the temp changes in the car? The hot or cold (not sure wich) could make the parts of your dash expand and rub. Just a thought, I really don't know what i'm talking about. lol
GOODLUCK!

Re: 03 ticking noise

From what it sounds like it's the same thing that's annoying the crap out of me. I'll bet it's coming from behind the hazed button, I've read this happening to others and someone said that there is a contact either behind the steering wheel or on the column not sure which that is dirty. In order to fix it you have to clean the contact, I haven't tried it myself yet have no time to look into it, so I just turn up my stereo and try to ignore it. To see if that’s the problem when the ticking stops wiggle your turn signal switch just a little bit and see if it starts up again.

Hope this helps
and if you try this let me know if it works.
