2.25" piping and ITR muffler on a stock DX?

If I got some custom 2.25 piping and put a modded ITR muffler on my stock DX hatch would I loose performance or gain performance? Also, I'm planning on doing a swap someday, and when I do would I have to get my exhaust totally redone or would the custom piping I did now work with the new enginge?

You'll gain performance. That's a sweet setup, I love sleeper exhaust systems.

You can get custom piping done at almost any exhaust or performance shop.

Isn't the ITR muffler to long for the hatch? I remember that a friend of mine wanted to do the same thing, but it didn't fit...

The muffler I'd be buying has had the hangers relocated and the tip shortened so it fits on the hatch.
