Cheap preformance mods?
Looking for something i can do for less than a grand... i want a very noticeable difference. I was thinking about some 373 gears. is it worth it? what would my fuel economy drop to? what kind of rpms would i be doing at like 80mph? should i get even a better rear end? any help is appreciated. also if you have any other opinions on what i can drop my money into let me know... what about a shift kit in the trans or a new camshaft? how much would this cost... and how much hassle? thanks for any input

Re: Cheap preformance mods?
You planning on doing the work yourself?. Cause for a grand you can easily drop a second + from your et's. Cam + stall converter, or Headers + cai + catback + pcm tune or shift kit + gears + cai + catback. There are tons of combo's but all work well to support each other if you do things in a certain order. You will find much better gains on the larger mods down the road.

Re: Cheap preformance mods?
I highly recommend 4.10s... I actually get better gas milage with them than when I had 3.42s. You may want to get a TA girdle for the rear to help beef it up... Also get an aluminum (ls1) driveshaft... intake, headers, catback... and a tune.... that's what I say. Although all that may put you over your budget... At least get the gears, driveshaft and tune tho... then intake... then worry about the exhaust.
