what is this?
hey everyone, i recently moved to japan and bought a skyline but when i got here was the first time i even heard of one. its a 1995 skyline gts non-turbo. does anyone know the specs on it such as 0-60 and the hp? also maybe a few tips on beginning to add mods. a few people told me if its a non-turbo its not even worth anything, its weak and you cant really do much because its not built to go very fast, id have to do an engine swap for a turbo.

Re: what is this?
Well usually when there is a non-turbo version and turbo version of a given car, if you are looking for power, it's just far easier to get a turbo car. They come with more power and getting more power from them is far easier.
Like with a NA 300ZX and a Twin Turbo 300ZX. Even though you can usually find the NA for half the price of the Twin Turbo and even if you dumped the thousands you saved into NA it still wouldn't be as powerful as a Twin Turbo with a few upgrades (unless you're counting the huge temporary boost nitrious can give). As for engine swap vs just buying the turbo, given you have the money just buy the turbo car. As for upgrading what you got, well there is all the basics like exhaust and intake upgrades, I'm sure somebody makes a ECU replacement for it and so on...but as stated, you're not going to get a whole lot for the work or money. And finally, Wikipedia tells us that the GT-S models came with either the RB20E motor making 130ps (which if I remember correctly is either just a bit less or a bit more than 130hp) or the RB25DE motor making 190ps (again, somewhere around 190).
