Pressing clutch cuts power for woofers?

Hey all

I have dual subs in behind the seat of my '83 S-10
they dont cut out at all from a lack of power, unless the truck is just on ACC and I turn it up to loud

but it does cut out when I press in the clutch to change gears...thing is though, it doesnt always to it

so if I hold in the clutch, and theres a decent note sent to the sub, it doesnt play it, it just cuts out the whole radio for that note(s)

is this because of the switch on the clutch? or is it grounding out or something?

i would check around the clutch pedal and make sure it isnt touching or moving bare wires.

I'll double check that, but I know when I had the radio hooked up to the stock wires it did it, so I ran my own switched and constant hot from the fuse box to the radio to see if that would help

those wires may be touching now, but the stock ones were no where near it
