No hope. Check you're other thread, and please don't make more than 1 post for the same question.

Re: has this been done?

i dont see why you cant put a little boost to that motor... imagine the top end with that hf tranny if you turboed it.

^ Yeah and while your taking so long to rev the engine to redline in 5th gear, you're also heating the turbo to the point where very bad things happen.

Re: has this been done?

poinless conversation really. that hf probly couldent take any boost and if it could it would maybe be around 100 hp. maybe

Re: has this been done?

could you put an si throttel body and ecu on it?
i think the hf has a smaller tb...so the si should help a little.
its pretty much not worth it....i can find stock si (d16a6) motors for like 150-250 bux. that with another 150 and you can have the si tranny. get the pm6 so you dont have a 5500 rpm rev limiter...lol (or whatever its at)
so about 400 bux and you have a hf that should be faster than an si.
if you dont know how to work on cars forget everything i said...motor swaps at shops cost $$$$

Re: has this been done?

Putting a turbo on an HF is like giving a chiuaua anabolic steroids, in the end your just gonna have a shaky little half-pint that looks like its cams are about to explode out of its head, and it still cant get out of its own way...

Re: has this been done?

LOL, that is a hilarious anology. Maybe more so because my family owns a chihuahua.

But... economy engine people, ECONOMY FREAKING ENGINE. Of course you CAN turbo it, you can turbo any engine, it doesn't make it a good idea. You want great fuel economy; keep the engine and leave it alone. You want performance; swap it out. Do it right the first time or don't do anything at all. Trust me, you'll be glad you did. I've seen a lot of people slap turbo kits on weak engines only to end up HAVING TO swap it out when they blow their sh*t up. 'Nuff said.

Re: has this been done?

fo real. j/k just dont do it. and the throttle body and ecu upgrade wouldent help that huch either. i mean look at the hf's intake ports compared to the si. if you put a bigger throttle body on it it will probly be taking ion the same amount of air. even if im wrong. just take the guys advice that was written above me. swap it for speed or save money and just drive it like it is

Re: has this been done?

the major flaw behind the HF motor is its only a 8 valve.
