Option packages when purchasing a DSM?
Hey Im curious about what option packages were available when buying a new 90-94 dsm from the dealer. I know some had power belts/cd/sunroof ect.....im just curious about what packages were out there. Im also wondering about a possible power seat belt conversion? I had them in my old car, but not in my current DSM. If anyone knows or can give me a link that would be cool thanks.
P.S. I have tried searching but im having no luck.

I'm not sure of the option packages but i'm sure it would be a huge pain in the ass to do a conversion. You will have to replace the whole trim above the door, and you may need a different switch on the door to turn them on and also an ignition switch.

i just cut that dam cable off on my driver side, so that thing dont hit my head when Im open the door.

I think he wants to take the power seat belts out of his car, not put them in. Every 1g I have seen has those damned power seatbelts. They arent hard to take off at all, my buddy Mike started that the first day he got it. I'm just going to unbolt the track and the motor and disconnect the motor from the wiring harness (I think theres a clip like there is on everything electrical in that car, otherwise I'm just going to cut them). Eventually I want to get a pair of racing seats and I'll put in a harness bar and get a 4pt harness.

 Build on hold until I get a good paying job, either in school or once I get out. At that time a full tear down and complete rebuild should be in order. The Purple People Eater will ride again... January 2011 can't come soon enough.

Yes i do want the power seatbelts! I had them in my old TSI AWD, and i loved them, i know most hate them but i liked them. I sold that car and got this one which is in better shape. It has powerlocks,windows, air,leather seats,came with the stock cdplayer. To my knowledge my came with everything but the sunroof and power seatblets. Perhaps its because its a Laser RST AWD, not a TSI AWD (lasers usually didnt get all the nice stuff), but whatever way i would like to install them. I dont mind doing the conversion, its not the work im worried about, im wondering what all i might need for parts, and where i may be able to get a set, new or used.

the nonpower seat belts are the canadian version. you need the belts with brackets, and the a piller and bpiller trim. or you can leave the slotted apiller trim.
shouldnt be hard to find somebody nearby that wants to trade and you can just meet and switch everything.
