Re: O/D Wires

Hi, You probably broke the wires as they are very thin and most of the time break in their own from the back and forth movement of the shifter..

Re: O/D Wires

Ya I did the same thing yesterday. If you havn't already fixed it which you prob have take a pocket rocket (small screw driver) and pry the button out make sure u pry on the black ring of the button and it should pop out. Then you will see the green wires broken. maybe you got lucky and the wire only broke at the bottom I didn't mine broke at the button. What I would do is if you broke the wire at the button solder new wires (of same gauge or one size bigger) to the button. Give a lot of wire slack since you can tuck it down by the shifter later. Then feed some fishing line down the shifter button hole and tie the end of the new wire to the fishing line at the top of the button hole. Feed the fishing line and the wire down the shifter hole. Rout the wire around the appropriate retainers. Splice the new wire with a butt connector (solder type butt connectors are the best) about 2inchs from connector. Insert the shifter on the shaft and pull the slack from the new wires down at the bottom. Push button back in hole and zip tie excess wires out of the way of shifter making sure you have a enough slack for shifter to move.
