Bird shat on my window, stain won't come off...

A bird managed to shit at the top of my rear-left window and it has created a running stain that I can't see to remove.

I went at it with soap and the wash cloth, then tried some automotive glass cleaner and finally tried some windex ... nada ... stain is still there

Any suggestions?

If it's an actual stain the try the rubbing alcohol as suggested before otherwise try a razor blade and work it like you were removing a sticker or piece of tape ect. ??? Could work I guess??

Scotch brite pad and any light household cleaner should do it.

Hope it didn't get on your paint.

I've never seen glass stained from bird dung.

Bird crap is corosive to paint. Wax helps.

I refuse to visit a friend of mine now because the birds at her house like my car (and I'm not allowed to shoot them)

Gives new insight to Bird Flu.
I know it can be deadly to all life forms, and now I know it's corrosive to glass.

Wow, learn something new every day.

Try using some Bon Ami cleanser and a sponge. The wonderful thing about Bon Ami is that is does not scratch the glass or paint, because it has such a light grit to it. I use it to clean my windshield about every month or so, gets the built up road oils and crap off of it - keeps the streaking down.

Bug and tar remover is your best bet. Decal remover might work too

Re: Bird shat on my window, stain won't come off...

I tried the Bon Ami ... didn't clean it.

I used the back side of a key to try and scrap it off that didn't work either. I park my car in the building's parking garage I don't know how and when that bird found the time to shit on my car of all cars...

Gonna try the razor blade, alcohol maybe even a bit of gasoline.

This sounds like you need to use a scotchbrite pad to scrub off the stuff instead of going to solvents.
