what do you think of this car??
I am planning on spending about 13,800 on a car
89 CRX 5 speed - 2500 bucks B16A1 swap, ecuu, 5 spd. LSD, etc.. 1550 bucks body kit 700 bucks ![]() spoiler 250 bucks CAI (cheap one) 75 bucks custom dual exhaust(down pipe to no cat to y pipe straight back to 2 4" tipped mufflers)(friend owns muffler shop) 100 bucks REVHARD stage 2C turbo kit 3800 bucks MSD ignition 100 bucks cosmo racing coilovers 150 bucks Tokico shocks 250 bucks short shifter 20 bucks clear taillights 150 bucks APEXi V-AFC 300 bucks Panasonic CQ-DF602 220 bucks JBL BP600.1 185 bucks 2 Alpine type S 12" subs 150 bucks Autotek SS400.4 150 bucks Alpine SPS-1629S 60 bucks Audiobahn ABC600Q components 90 bucks custom fiberglas kicks 75 bucks custom sealed box(in a hatch you need SQ, otherwise Id definately go ported) 30 bucks neons under seats, under dash, underbodies, in amp rack 185 bucks custom false floor with built in amp rack and plexi 100 bucks series 789 17" rims - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1844776299 400 bucks Khumo Ecsta supra 711 250 bucks Crimestopper CS2005FM alarm/start w/ LCD remote and pager 180 bucks cobra 9850 radar detector 150 bucks strut bar, seat belt pads, shift knob, pedals, shift boot, blue dome, blue "H", floormats, etc... 225 bucks paint it with my grandpa, SI blue with extra metal flake, and body work with him too, price of paint/bondo,etc... (500?) do you think I need anything else in there? and what times would you expect to get with this car taken to the track, wiht system and all inside still so it will be kinda heavy compared to stock. this brings my total to about 12,500 whoich leaves me an extra 1300 dollars in case im wrong on some of this stuff. also can anyone who has some, post pics of their very custom CRX's. |

i would see how much it would cost to import a hb or crx from japan if i had that kind of money if not, your idea sounds good

I'd say your looking at at most, about a second faster then stock times, maybe one and a half. Depends on what kind of power jump you'll get from the turbo.
Hell, if the turbo only runs at like 10 or less psi.(not saying yours will, but thats what i see most civics running without a rebuilt bottom-end.) You might not gain any speed at all, seeing as how your adding hundreds of pounds to your car with all the audio, lighting, and other tacky waste of money and more importantly, waste of weight things you've got listed there. All in all though I'd say it'll be faster, but not too much.

ok, I know I have alot of weight, but do you think that car will still beat a 9 probe GT stock, a 96 civic EX with I/H/E, and a 92 eclipse GST.
and maybe I will lose some of the neons adn I actually am starting to like the looks withouit a spoiler, and not do some of the other things right now, and build the internals and ruin like 18 psi. but then I have to get a different turbo right? the one in stage 2C isnt big enough for that is it? and what would that be though, 1.5 quicker than stock? what dso they run stock? |

Dude, a boosted b16 in a rex would be retarded fast no matter how many wings and shit you have.
I just don't understand why. - Boosted B16 in a CRX with the SiR front end, slammed, painted white with Bronze Mugen MF-10s.

First thing, that front bumper is absolutly hidious, I think you should consider some other front bumper. Second thing, if you're gonna go turbo i would suggest a b18 instead of a b16, b18's are more turbo friendly. I think a b18 w/ turbo at a moderate boost setting should get you into mid/low 13sec 1/4miles.

welll, the B16A1 is only 1250 for the swap, the B18 with les power is 2400 and the B18C1 is like 3300 for the swap.
It is a good idea though, and I actually like that bumper. I dont like shogun styles that much. |
