climate control unit repair

I am experiencing the same problem many others have had with their 92' Prelude. The wire harness that plugs into the back develops a cold-soldered connection which causes the controls to go in and out. Toying with the wires works, but I am about to buy a new head-unit and seal up my access to the wires with the installation.

I have read about fixing the old harness, by resoldering the pins. I also read that this repair is quite challenging.

What do you guys suggest???

If anyone knows of any forums that go into detail about the repair please post them.

You could hit up a self pull junk yard and pay like 15.000 bucks for a used harness.
