Re: keyless entry

The only way to program another key fob is to go to your dealer .

Re: keyless entry

Don't go to the dealer!
They will charge you about $60 bucks for 10 seconds of work.
All you need to do is ground a green wire in a harness near the RKE box.
I know this cause I installed RKE system on my '94. I'm not sure on your truck where the connector is, but seem to remember seeing that is was like in the pin 1 position of the OBD connector on the newer vehicles. Do a little google searching for RKE programming.

The way it works is:

1-you Ground the Green wire,

2-then turn the Ignition switch to the ON position,

3-then press any button on each of the key fob transmitters,

NOTE: Press a button on fob #1, then press a button on fob #2 while in the programming mode. you must allow the receiver to capture both of the separate signals from the fobs as the original codes are erased as soon as you put the receiver into programming mode. This way both individual codes from the fobs will be recognized, and stored into the RKE receiver.

The RKE box then captures and stores the codes emitted from the fobs-allowing them to operate the system.

So technically you are reprogramming the RKE receiver, and Not the fobs.

Hope this saves you a couple of bucks. -Jay
