Exhaust Hanger
Hi Everyone,
I have a 93 Metro Convertible 5 speed. I just discovered my exhaust hanger that is bolted to the firewall broke. The person I purchased the car from installed a front and rear anti-sway bar. I dont think this was standard in convertibles. Anyhow, now my exhaust pipe is resting on the front swaybar. I can't seem to find any type of replacement part. Any suggestions? Could a mechanic weld this piece back together? Is this going to be dangerous to drive until I can get it fixed? Thanks in advance for any replies Don |

Re: Exhaust Hanger
bonus on the swaybars. You could always find a junkyard replacement hook and bolt it to the location where the broken one is. If it rusted off, I'd see if an exhaust shop could hang it elsewhere. Be sure to peel the carpet back on the inside first. I saw a metro that got torched cause some jackass welded under the floor and set the carpet on fire.
