Almost burned my Santa Fe

Picture it, Queens NY 2006

You are sitting in your office on the 8th floor and you smell like electrical wire burning, but the alarms don't go off. Something tells you to look out the window so you turn to the window and try to look out but it is pitch black (mind you its a sunny day), you noticed that its black smoke from a fire below you or at least you think it is, but you trace the funnel of the black smoke and it is leading to the parking lot area, as you continue to follow the trail, you noticed it is coming from your FREAKING CAR. AAAARRRGGGHHHHHHH.

You run to take the elevator and they are slow as mollasses, (much like the forum the last couple of days)
you finally get in go downstairs and you see that it is not your car but the car in front of you up in flames. But luckily the fire department has put the flames out. They wouldn't let me in the area and you tell the fireman, "but thats my car behind it, shouldn't I move it". and he says "why bother".

At this point I think ok crap, the front of my Santy has melted. But they finally let me go to the car and not a scratch. But man did that volvo get cooked.

See pics..
As you can see my car is behind it

Another view..

See how close my car was to the other car on fire...

Apparently the fire started in the trunk, the owner had put in an amplifier and must have not hooked it up properly and short circuit something and that is what started the fire.

The tree behind the one on the right (at the front left of the car) was completed torched.

Even the License plate was clear of all paint and you can see here the amp that caused the fire in side the trunk.

I am still can't believe nothing happend to my car.

btw the pics were taken with my camera phone.

TS out
