wiring harness 97 blazer

last week when doing a tune up on 97 blazer I noticed two red wires which are unattached. Both are red and are located near the brake booster. One is the fuel pump test wire, it has a female blade connector on it. the other one is the ?????. It is about a 14 ga wire with a ring crimp on. red also. what is this wire for??

Re: wiring harness 97 blazer

Unless your blazer is loaded it's probably just for another option. They usually use the same wire harness for everything.

Re: wiring harness 97 blazer

I wonder if that's the wire I am looking for that will supply power to the trailer hitch wiring? Do you have the towing option? Is the rat tail under the bumper wired in to tow? Finally is your RED at the terminal hot in the back if you tie it in, and if you ground it and ohm it do you have a connection? If so let me know EXCATLY where the wire is located. Thanks
