Lancia 037 - Montecarlo Winner

Hello everyone,

Here's something I've been working for quite sometime. I thought this would be a nice car to work on, since I have a lot of reference pictures.

Of course, it turned out to be a lot more difficult than I thought It would, but I think it will be worth it (if I manage not to mess things up).

Anyway, here are some progress pics:

Support for spare wheel (hardest work so far)... Built and rebuilt 2 or 3 times to get size and shape right(or close).

Top front grid (reiji PE detail set):

Front suspension (before & after):

Test fit:

Radiator assembled into front structure (fitting and painting not final):

Engine:

And that's all for now. Feel free to coment on this

Marco

Looking good Marco, and very ambitious work so far. Gotta love the 037. I take it this will be Walter Rohrl's '83 Monte winner?

I wonder why I didn't try and build an 037 for the '80s contest? Might've been inspired enough to get it finished in time.
