Angry El Problemo

Hey there maxima lovers,

Somethink very strange happened to my maxima. My turning signals don't work anymore when the car is running. The only time they do work is when my lights are on, and it's only the left side turning signal. Plus the light that is supposed to light up the sides when you turn is always on on the left side and much stronger light then the right side. I had an alarm installed a couple of weeks ago and I'm really worried about cops stoping me and giving me a ticket for not using my turning signals. Anywas, what I want to do is reset my CPU and my alarm.
DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO RESET THE CPU IN A 96 GLE ????? Thanx guys I appreciate you help. peace.

I believe the guys that installed your alarm screwed up the wiring. Some wires that may have been cut or spliced were not done correctly. Have them go over the wiring and let them know that you didn't have this problem before the alarm was installed. Resetting the alarm cpu will not solve your problem.

Unhappy I dunno

I would think the same way but the funny thing is that the lights where working for 3 weeks without any problem with the alarm installed already. I spoke to someone yesterday and that person told me that I might have to replace only the bulb from my right side signaling light. I dunno but I hate this problem. The other shitty problem I have is that the alarm was installed 1200 miles from where I stay so .... I paid only 300 $ for a 850 $ alarm. I guess it wasn't such a good deal after all.

Anyways , thanx

Do you think that it might be just the bulb ????

Well as far as the light on one side being brighter than the other, that may be the case. The other stuff though seems more in depth than a bulb.

You might want to check the fuses...... I know a guy who got his alarm done and the job done was PP...... all they did for power was "splice" into one of the other fuses, run a higher fuse and just place the power wire right into that socket. It could short your system that way. Also, if you reset the alarm and cpu there is a way to reset the cpu on the maximadriver.com website under how2. I just saw it the other day... thought it was cool..... 1 more thing, if you do reset the cpu and alarm, and the wire is still in the fuse box (if it is) it might just do the same thing again...... Hope this helps, and thanks for the help w/ my problemo!
