About trailer hitch for 2002 Venture

Hello guys/girls,


what kind of trailer hitch would you recommend for my Venture 2002, with dual AC, extended??
Where to buy at least expensive and what I need to look at??
How hard is that to install??

Any information is more than welcome.

I bought atGM Accessories trailer hitch online from a GM dealer for my 2001. (GMPartsDirect.com) Price was good, but service was very slow. Installation is very easy. Instructions and special tools come in the box.

I also bought a GM hitch on-line - good price, fits well. I got the 1.25" receiver, not the 2" - not sure that you can get a 2" receiver via GM.

However, mine is more visible than some of the hitches I've seen on other vans of this type, so you might want to look around at several and ask where they bought theirs. I think Hidden Hitch and U-Haul sells some, and I seem to recall Valley sold a comparable one.

What I don't like is that none of the hitches I could find had a bracket to attach the wiring plug to, so I just have mine sort of wrapped around the hitch end - don't like the look of it, but I've not looked around hard to find a bracket or a better alternative........Glen
