Lightbulb Power Mirror Question

Hey Gents,

I went to adjust my mirror the other day and noticed that the Left direction of my power mirrors is inoperable. All other directions work but, not the left.

Do I need a new switch and if so does anybody know what the part number might be or should I cruise the junkies and see if I can find a new switch????

Thanks guys

Evan

Re: Power Mirror Question

Mine started acting the same way shortly after getting it and it turned out to be the switch. Turns out the place i bought the truck from was sloppy with the crap they were using to clean the truck and some leaked into the switch. If i remember correctly it was about $60 for a new one from the dealer.

Re: Power Mirror Question

Thanks man....I took the switch apart this weekend and cleaned it. The contacts were just really dirty. I'll keep an eye on it and see if it needs replacing. Not too big a deal I guess.

Once you have the mirror set that's it. Your not always playing with the mirror settings...

Re: Power Mirror Question

Well Apparently my mirrors don't work to the right and down...I've taken the switch apart 2 times and both times once I put the switch back in and if I hold the switch to the right or down for about 2-3 seconds then they start working like new all 4 directions but let the truck sit for a few weeks without using the mirrors and Poof Im right back to no right or down again...it's getting annoying...I think I'll try a new switch. I have a 2002 Silverado 1500 Z71
