Unhappy 99 Park Ave Ultra stalling and cutting off....What's wrong??

My 99 Buick Park Avenue Ultra. I love her. She's a green monster, but I do love her. For about 6 or 7 months though, she's been stalling and cutting off. Usually as I am slowing down or when I am stopped. And when she stalls my tachymeter falls to 0 and stays there until the car is restarted. I have had 4 mechanics look at her, only one drove her. The one who drove her said nothing was wrong and he had no problems from her. I have replaced the fuel filter, plugs, and wires. She ran great for about 24 hours after that and then went back to her old ways. I have no idea what's wrong. Can someone PLEASE help me?????

It sounds like you are loosing the signal from the crank sensor. This can be a very difficult problem to diagnose, since it is sporadic and hard to catch in the act. I am sure some of the mechanics checked the fuel pressure!?

Re: 99 Park Ave Ultra stalling and cutting off....What's wrong??

I am having the same issue with a 94 Ultra. Replace the cam sensor and the crank sensor, same issue. First code was for the cam sensor, second was for the crank sensor. Mechanic watched crank shaft pulses on his scanner, saw issues, changed the sensor, everything looked fine, drove it 30 miles with no issue, then all of the sudden started again. He seems to be baffled. I need help! He said that he checked the wiring and plugs to the sensors. Is it possible I got a bad sensor installed maybe? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
