Gearing Question
Mainly for people with KA/T, i was wondering what you guys did about cruising at hwy speeds, cuz on my 95 240, im around 3k at 70mph and around 3500 at 80. and i would like to stilll do that after i turbo, but i'll be on full boost, and with gas prices as they are, is their anything to do to lower it other than getting a different final drive ratio? i heard somewhere that they made a different 5 gear? Any suggenstions will be appreciated.

Re: Gearing Question
People...BOOST IS NOT MEASURED BY RPM. Boost is controlled by throttle. Just apply enough throttle to keep a cruising speed and youll stay in vacuum.
Yes gearing doesnt change once you get more power. Youll still be at 70 at 3000. The J30 Diff is a 3.8 Gear while the stock 240 rear end is a 4.0** so that would help give you longer gears. |

Re: Gearing Question
^^^^^^^^ yup hes right...however, i've had both gear ratios, and they feel almost identical. maybe a 200rpm difference.
