i have 2 12's and mine doesn't make any noise & i haven't touched a thing.

i do however have something squeaking in the rear area when i hit bumps & the trim pieces on the top of my doors where the seatbelt comes out makes noise also.

not much rattle at all. and the hatch is great for bouncing sound waves. every now and again i hear the license plate. if you think that might be a problem, you can get a dynamat kit cut just for that

if the hatch it's self is making noise, adjust the black rubber gromit things in the corners (like you would for your hood).

I've got a Reply, and Need Help

The glass piece on the hatch in my CRX rattles a bit, but it's not that bad. Actually, the one thing that rattles the most on my car is my passenger side tail light. I lost a nut to one of the screws when I put Altezza's in, do you guys think thats the problem? Anyone else have this problem? Im assuming that since its only one of the three pieces that I can fix it, just not sure how.

When i had 1000 Watts RMS in my hatch at 198db, my roof went up, and my spoiler was rattleing like crazy, but that got stolen...... now i have a 400 watt system and the only thing that rattles is my spoiler, but that because the 1000 watt system like loosened every single bolt in my hatch!

1000 watt system included:
-2 12" Polk Audio/MOMO Subs, at 500 RMS each (1000 Peak Each)
-1 MTX 81000d Amp at 1500 Watts at 14.4 volts, my Farad Cap ran mostly at like 13.5volts (its a Rockford Fosgate 1farad Cap with Digital Readout)

400 Watt system included
-2 Shitty 12" Subs (I have no clue what they are, but sound nice as hell in the hatch)
-1 Rockford Fosgate 1000.1bd at 1000 watts, but the gain is somewhere at 400 cause its really low (This AMP ROCKS!)

My future System:

-2 12" Polk Audio/MOMO subs (same as first system)
-1 Rockford Fosgate 1000.1bd Amp (Same as second one)
-Polk Audio 6.5" Components all around the car
-1 Rockford Fosgate 400.4 Amp for the Interior Speakers
-2 1Farad Digital Cap (i need to buy one more because i still have the cap from the first system)

Oh, and i have a little piece of dynamat behind my liscense plate that works perfect for rattleing!

well, my hatch has been rattled apart many times.....my roof is the worst though, but its not too bad unless ur like 5 feet from the car, all in all i would consider it the perfect car for a system (both of my door panels are almost coming off now though, because my system has actually rattled 3 of the screws out (2 on pass, one on drivers) when i had my crx w/turbo b16a1 i won every db drag i entered, it was great, but then thanks to a tire shop my crx got killed with me almost killed along with it, but im loving my hatch, soon ill have a b16 and shortly after that a turbo, so ill be killin in the db drags once again

hey Phact how does ur hatch perform with that ZC in it?? do u have any quater mile times???

Yea i will probably just get a nice head unit, 4 new 6.5 with a 4 channel amp powering those, and then maybe a 10 or 12 inch sub down the road. I will see how the amped 6.5's perform, ill probably be satisfied with that. if not i will get a sub. Yea to much bass and ur car will far apart unless u tighten the screws back up on a regular basis.

btw, have u guys ever noticed any screws getting loosened in the engine compartment?? -thanks
