Removing IP Trim Plate
I have a question regarding removal of the instrument panel trim plate... The websiet www.impalahq.com has a good "how to" on this except for one detail... It mentions removing the connectors on the hazard light switch and the traction control switch but makes no mention about the fog light switch or the headlamp pull switch as you pull the panel off... Are these two switches also connectorized?... Do you also just pull off those connectors as you remove the instrument panel trim plate?...

Re: Removing IP Trim Plate
I actually dont think so. I havent taken it off yet, but if you did need to remove those electrica connectors, they would probabaly have mentioned it. So I think those 2 switches, are actually connected to the dash, and not the trim plate. But I cant be sure.
Even if they are connected to the trim plate itself, it's not a huge deal that is going to adversly affect removing the trim lpate, it'll just be 2 more electrical connections taht you will haev to unplug to take off the trim plate. |

Re: Removing IP Trim Plate
Oh yeah... I just took a closer look and those two switches are bolted directly to the dashboard... The trim plate goes on over them... So they stay put as you remove the IP trim plate...
