????Weird????

O.k. so my friend has this '91 honda civic hatchback that he bought for 800 bones and it ran great for the first three weeks then it all of a sudden on the way to work it seems to have stopped getting fuel. So first we towed the car to his house and then we replaced the fuel filter. Seemed to solve it. But then we start it and it idles great when just sittin not touchin anything, but if you give it gas it dies like it isn't gettin gas or it's gettin flooded. Now my question is when replacin the fuel filter do the little port holes in the bolts need to line up a certain way or is it maybe something else thats causing this problem???????????????????

The hole do not need to be set a certain way. Have you pulled the "new" filter off, and looked at the fuel inlet side?

Better yet, tell us what you have checked. There could be a whole slew of things.

sounds like cam timing. Check the timing on the belt.
