Hmmmm.... Its been a long time since anyone posted here. Anyone whos read anything I've written about Azteks knows that I think they are a bane on all automobiles. It proves that there is major stupidity up the whole chain of command at GM. How that monstrosity ever made it to production is a SNAFU to rival the worst in history.

What's worse is that everyday I see more and more of them on the road. I would love to hear the sales pitch for these things.

Do you know that GM issues the Azcrap as the company vehicle they give to employees to use? Just so more of them are on the road. They must figure that if we see it enough we'll get used to it and forget just how ugly they are.

If you notice, about every 10 years, a <i>special</i> car is made in detroit. Edsel, Gremlin, Pacer, these are the elite ranks now joined by Aztek. God Bless you, you wacky dope-smoking car designers, God Bless.

I recently watched the origional, National lampoon's Vacation movie.
I had forgotten the scene at the begining, where Chevy Chase was dooped into buying the Road King, Family truckster.
I had to think that the Aztec gets similar sales pitch.
If you don't remember it, You have got to rent it to see what I mean.

Actually, I heard a funny rumor that a couple of Pontiac/GMC dealers in the DFW area were threatening a lawsuit to STOP General Motors from sending them Azteks. Apparently, the company kept slipping one or two unrequested Azteks in with shipments of other vehicles, and the dealers were losing too much money trying to get them off their lots.

The only people that I know that want one are tese two housewives. One drives a Caravan and the other a Windstar. They say it looks exciting and fun. I don't know but saying this car is ugly is like saying a Picasso painting is ugly, and I think they are both ugly. I guess if someone is buying it, they did not make such a bad job. Maybe in 20 years it will become a real exclusive classic.
