Why did you cut your O2 sensor while installing an intake??

Yeah, i have same question, why did you do it?

to solve problem you can solder wires but for insulation you have to use some High Tempature material and electrical isolation tape.

other way to fix it is to buy new O2 sensor, but be ready to pay over $100.

unless im thinking of something else, your o2 sensor is connected to your exhaust manifold, and maybe one before your cat. my car is a lot older, but no hoes is connected from the intake to the headers. theres a tiny one that passes over the fuelinjection, and one more going to the crank case. but if youre talking about something else, then nm.

ok, When I replaced my stock intake I removed the intake form the trottle body, and uderneath it was another extention to the intake. So I took it off and there was a small hose connected to it towards myy radiator w/ a little black box with wires running to it. I didn't cut any wires, I only cut the hose and I dont' know where to reconnect it, or if I should reconnect it.

i had something similar. and when i put the cai in, it was missing that hole for the hose. the hose on mine went to some sort of air control valve that let air into the stock box. but seeing as how that valve would only slow the air coming in, its useless with a coldair intake. depending on where you live they might check for that during a smog. i live in CA, and when my neighbor had theirs done, they pop the hood and check. dont know for what, but im sure they'd notice a big silver pipe where one isnt normally.

i posted about it before, ill see if i can find the post or pic i had.

you dont need it. its a sensor that either controls how much air is let in, or the temperature of the air. it could either let in fresh(cold) air from the front, or it could close the valve and warm air for the engine would enter the intake. but whatever you take out, make sure you keep it. it might be something youre supposed to have for emissions when it comes time to get a smog.

checking out your engine compartment and other pix, a couple of questions about your accord

A) Did it used to be white?
B) are your corner lenses missing?
