weird thing happened

i was driving my 2004 grand am gt and it just shut off for no apparent reason. I had driven it earlier in the day and it worked fine no problems but wen i took it out later it shut off wen i was about 10 miles from home. It started rite up but the service engine lite was on and the traction off light was stuck on. I turned the car on and off again and both lights went away and the traction control worked again. Any thoughts on what happend? thanx

Re: weird thing happened

Crank position sensor is going bad and needs replaced. Common issue, key is that the car stalled and then started back up. Change it so that it won't leave you sitting.

Re: weird thing happened

They aren't expensive about $30 and take about 30 minutes to change. On the 2.3 I think it is located just above the oil filter.
