WIP - Dodge Daytona conversion

hi all

im trying something different here - a conversion of a Dodge daytona into something different with some various spare parts. if anyone has a damaged skyline or similar 2 door body with the rear half of the body in an ok condition to contribute to this conversion, it'll make my life easier to change the rear portion.

model kit:

started by fitting side skirts around the body, then used milliput to widen the fenders, and cut out the centre section of the sideskirt to make it deeper. also shortened the rear c-pillar to turn it into a 2 door coupe instaed of a 3 door fastback coupe.

interior showing white Ferrari F40 seat, and impreza rear panel with hole to be filled, and rear seats to be smoothed out:

bonnet with grille removed, needs to be filled in on the corners, with impreza intake on the top:

front bumper with skirt fitted, front grille removed will put mesh in it, slot in the middle made bigger for intercooler, indicators was removed to make it deeper with small intakes for brake cooling, plus i'll make some clear covers for headlights:

impreza rear spoiler, thats why i want to convert to 2-door to facillate the spoiler:

exhaust from a 1/12 scale bike instead of regular stock outlet:

Re: WIP - Dodge Daytona conversion

thanks for the comments and keep em coming, progress will be slow as i have lack of funds.

i havent a clue what to do with this model, not happy with one of the fenders, its not smooth with a few recesses, needs filling in again, could i use household filler?

not sure what colour to paint - single or 2 tone, please no fancy paint jobs as i cant afford any(unless someone donates a spraycan), was thinking of putting cf decals on the widened fenders, depends if i have enough, top part of the spoiler will be cf decals, thinking of putting cf on the impreza intake

any ideas welcome

Re: WIP - Dodge Daytona conversion - update 4/2/07

heres the belated update:-

wheels is the custom option, centres painted gun metal, leaving the rims crome, and picked the nuts out in silver, and lowered 1mm(scale 24mm)
centre disk painted silver with red portion to make it look like disk brakes with red calipers:

engine is stock turbo:

bonnet with integrated impreza airscoop:

rear modified into a sedan type with rear spoiler from impreza:

modified front to facillate intercooler and brake ducts(next to indicators):

exhaust from 1/12 scale bike

normally they are fully chromed, but i carefully painted the centers in gun metal to give it a bit of colour, also there is another set of wheels with this kit (see 1st pic in 1st post) that i didnt use
