Question Illegal or not?

Hey...I was looking at the altezza next generation tail lights. There are two types. One is just like the stock one in the color scheme, but more clean and whatnot. the other one is the same thing, but the brake light is 3 red circles, and the whole lense is clear...is this legal? i have the web site so you know what i am talking about...http://www.secureleadercom.com/exstore/initsite.asp

this is AznRiceRkt...Payce

I cant say for certain - but I don't think that is legal (but its close enough you probably wouldn't get as much as a warning about it)

if they are SAE/DOT approved and have a stamp and certificate saying so, then they are legal...if they dont', they aren't

Not exactly, true, this is one of the things they are required to have to get approval, but if you went out and made your own custom taillights with red lenses they wouldn't be legal, they need SAE/DOT approval to be technically legal.
