I just got back home from picking my car up from getting it fixed. It turns out the clutch fork was actually missing a big chunk out of it and some other things that are beside the point.

Anyway, so I got a new cluch (exedy organic stage 2) and that feels nicceee..

SO...before I got it fixed there was this grinding sound the car would make when I would be at about 4,000 rpms in 2nd and 3rd sometimes 4th gear when I left off the gas and let the engine slow down the car. It sounds like it is coming from directly underneath the car, not so much near the front under the hood. Well the car still makes that noise. The guy said he couldn't figure it out but figures it's just some piece of metal somewhere rattling when the vibration of some RPMs hits a certain number.

If the grinding did it before and after, do I have anything to worry about or is this an important thing I should worry about?? I just can't figure out the grinding...just in 2nd or third, going up to about 4,000 rpms and letting off the gas to let the car slow down ..it's very noticeable..

Let me know if any of you have had this prob...I don't know if it's in the AWD axle or what

Give the driveshaft a visual inspection and see if there are any worn bearings or yolks or something like that.

Check all your heat shields and stuff and do like Garrett said and check the driveshaft all out.

When i had my clutch done, one of the "fingers" (for lack of better words lol) was COMPLETELY broken off! not sure how that happened?
